Nine charity projects were launched last week at an event to celebrate the first anniversary of Suzhou Industrial Park Volunteers Home.
The projects include establishing a reading room for children left behind by parents who are migrant workers, activities to promote Suzhou gardens, an event to draw public attention to autistic children, and a summer camp for needy students.
A platform for charity organizations and enthusiasts to find partners will be set up as well where people can propose charity projects, find partners and resources, track the progress of their projects.
The SIP Volunteers Home received about 5,000 charity enthusiasts and visitors in the past 12 months.
