Suzhou urban rail line to be connected with Shanghai metro

The construction of Suzhou Urban Rail Transit Line S1 will speed up in 2018 and when finished, its terminal station will be connected with Shanghai Metro Line 11’s Huaqiao Station, thus linking up Suzhou, Kunshan and Shanghai.

The S1 line spans 41 kilometers and has 28 underground stations, starting from Weiting Zhen Station in Suzhou Industrial Park, going east through Kunshan city and ending at the station connected with Shanghai’s Metro Line 11.

The construction of S1 line is expected to be completed in 2022.
