Suzhou expressway now collects toll by QR code scanning

Jul 12, 2018|By Tong Wangyue

People can now pay their expressway toll by smart phones at 10 toll stations along the Suzhou-Jiaxing-Hangzhou Expressway as 60 mobile payment devices have been installed at exit ramps and put into use since July 2. Drivers can follow the voice instruction to open the Alipay app and scan the QR code by their smartphones. It takes only nine seconds to finish the whole payment process, which greatly shortens the payment time, ease traffic congestion and reduce the safety hazards.
