Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus opens new academic year

Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus held an opening ceremony of the academic year 2018-2019 yesterday. President of the university Liu Wei warmly welcomed and expressed his great expectations of new students.

Mayor Li Yaping made a speech on the ceremony and said that the university has made great contribution to the city’s economic and social development as well as international education. The municipal government will give the university full support to offer better learning environment.

Three colleges have been established in the university at present. International College in cooperation with the municipal government has enrolled postgraduate students majoring in financial risk management and Chinese language education.

Dedicated to developing international talents, Sino-French Institute, jointly built in June 2012 by Lettres Sorbonne Université, Université Paul-Valery and Kedge Business School, offers courses on finance, economic management and French Language.

The newly-established Silk Road School, which aims to serve the country's Belt and Road Initiative, will offer education to 78 students from 37 countries and regions.
