Tingfeng Garden used to be a small residence for officials at the end of the Qing Dynasty. With many old maple trees in the garden, it was named Tingfeng Garden, meaning “listen to the maple.” Tingfeng Pavilion, the main pavilion, is located in the center. In the east, there is a study room which is the most peaceful place in the garden. Rocks, lakes, flowers and trees in the garden present a relaxing scene.

Suzhou Academy of Chinese Paintings has moved to Tingfeng Garden.
